Following on from the thread about the first ten games I thought it worth discussion about the forthcoming six fixtures (one in the Cup and five in the League) and what we should be targeting?
October see’s us play:
Millwall at the City Ground
Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium
Norwich City at the City Ground
Bolton at the Reebok, Macron or Whatever it’s now called
Dirty Leeds at Elland Road
Nigel’s Burton at the Pirelli
For me we should be aiming to secure 11 points from a possible 15, together with a win at Burton, which would see us unbeaten for the month. If we manage 10 points I still think that will be a good haul all things considered.
Anything less than six points will be deemed abject failure.
Thoughts?

Just from a league point of view, we have four cup finals and a difficult game with Bolton. Phew!!!
I have to say that 9 points might be a good return from those run of games

Boro and Leeds arguably the 2 hardest away games of the season. I would be happy enough with 8 points from those 5 games. Will be furious if we mess up against Burton though, we have a terrible recent cup record, about time we had a go at one.
Yes less than 6 if we are, excuse the phrase, serious about promotion is unacceptable.

We haven’t reached a Cup Quarter Final since we played Bayern Munich.
Interesting views. I did wonder if 11 was too ambitious.
I am normally cautious but expect wins at home and at Bolton.

Expecting 11 out of 15 is the equivalent of expecting us to out perform WBA current form with an extra win chucked in I think that is extremely ambitious plus we take points of Leeds Boro Norwich, we wouldn't be far off top 2 at that rate of knots
8-9 points would be a good return on those fixtures 3 away games 2 of which are currently top 3
What is far more important for me would be 5 games with no Wigan Brentford Brum displays, I want to see consistency and competitiveness, its not a case of just results against Leeds Boro although it would be nice its about going there and making them work for their points something that we have not done consistently for bloody years

I prefer just to look at our next game.
3 points tomorrow against Millwall.
I cannot see beyond that right now.

Be nice to get 10 points from that run of games and would be nicer to be able to only concentrate on us and not be looking how other teams are doing. I reckon by the next international break we will see the Championship split and the gap between mid-table and top contenders will begin to show. I want us to be above that split.

Well that’s already two points less than I had hoped!
Fingers crossed for something at Boro.
