That's the thing though it won't just click. He's got to want it and work much harder on the training ground and bang the managers door down if he's not in the team etc. Will he do that? I doubt it.

He's just got to be better at everything he does. The first couple of weeks of pre-season training will be massive for him. If he wants to come back and play for us again then he's got to impress at that time (assuming he's not got a first class ticket to the bomb squad). If he comes back in a malaise or he's not 100% fitness and attitude wise then it'll be curtains for him.

Oh and I've never understood why it's accepted that a player has to press his case with a manager to get played. Surely if you're good enough you'll get picked?

The thing is that the manager can only pick 11 players. When you are not one of those 11 you can do one of two things. Work even harder to try and impress the manager and bang on his door to demand why you are not in the team and say that I will prove to you why I should be in the team etc. Or you can sit around sulking in a corner and just go through the motions. Under Lamouchi Carvalho chose the second option. Hopefully under CH he will choose the first option.

He might not have the option of impressing Sniff. The club may well have told him he's done at Forest and to find another club. Same with Da Costa & Ioannou.

Ioannou seems to think he has a future at Forest:

I hope Ioannou has a future at forest- I liked him and thought he was unlucky being sent packing after his sending off…

I agree. He was putting in some decent crosses in the games he played too. Wouldn’t be the worst idea to bring him back into the fold. At least have another look at him in preseason.

It just seems odd with Ioannou. He is playing well until he got red carded at Luton (I think), then suddenly he is being shipped out on loan. I can only assume he and CH didn't see eye to eye over the sending off, had a fall out, so CH shipped him out!

I just hope they have, or will, make amends and he is given another chance

If CH has decided to look at loannou again and is ready to give him a fresh start it will definitely solve our problem at left back and it's a cost that the club won't have to find, he definitely is our best left back at the club, it makes sense to bring him back and give him a fresh start.

Says in the article that he prefers to play in a back 3 but can also play at LB. Maybe thats a factor.

EM is in Portugal meeting with Mendes.

I would imagine that Carvalho will be on the discussion menu.

Do you know which other topics that could possibly be on the agenda?
