If Mowatt is as good as some think he is then he will surely have better offers than coming to Forest.

He's better than what we have here.

Better than Johnson? Better than Garner if we get him back?
Not convinced but like I said I will be happy if he signs but lets not big him up too much. It was only a couple of years ago when Barnsley loaned him out to Oxford.

Yes I honestly think that he is better than Johnson, Johnson had a very good loan spell at Lincoln, but that doesn't mean that he will comeback here and be picked to be a first team starter by Hughton, or if he will be sold or sent out on loan again, as regarding Garner admittedly he is a very talented player, but he's not our player, so we cannot include him, so yes as far as I am concerned Mowatt is far better than any of the midfielders we have here.

  • “Vrentzos has now informed colleagues he intends to return to Athens”.
  • Marinakis wants Dane Murphy to take over the role.
  • They confirmed that we’ve already appointed Chris Brass & George Syrianos.
  • Unlikely to spend big this summer & may find it hard to reject offers for Worrall, Mighten or Johnson.

Loads more in the article about Dane Murphy, but does sound like an exciting summer ahead.

So new ideas and a new strategy are coming.

Feeling excited!

That will be because of the expertise of Chris Brass and George Syrianos though. We are finally going to be doing our homework before signing player's.

So more than likely that one of the three from Worrall, Mighten or Johnson will be sold on if we are to bring in quality players other than loan or freebie signings.

Gotta keep Worrall!
I'd be okay with Mighten or Johnson leaving if they have to sell, but Worrall. No, no, no.

This bit stood out, if appointed he will hopefully be given the freedom to do his job.

“It remains to be seen if Vrentzos will continue to hold any influence at Forest, but the plan now is to offer Murphy, regarded in the football industry as a skilled negotiator with an astute football brain, the freedom to stamp his own vision at the City Ground and try to repeat the success he had in Yorkshire.”

The thought does occur though is how a 62 year old manager will work well with a 35 year old CEO. CH likes his tried and trusted players, not a big user of younger players, has a set way of playing. Does any of that fit with Murphy’s ethos?

May not be official, but Dane has agreed to come, now need to negotiate with Barnsley.

Forest will deny it, Barnsley are surprised.

Lets hope the goalposts are not moved.

I can't imagine that he would accept the job if he isn't going to be allowed to do things his way.

Vrentzos may continue to hold a role with Forest or he may not but he won't have any influence over the CEO.
