Safe Standing At The City Ground?

Following a recent survey 94% of English football fans voted in favour of their clubs introducing safe standing.

Progress is expected on the issue in the coming weeks and some clubs could have safe standing in place by the start of next season.

Hope we are one of them.

I suspect its very unlikely the whole of either Bridgford end or TE lower for a long time. Celtics safe standing allowance is less than 3000 in a stadium twice the capacity of the City Ground. If we do introduce it I suspect it will be for a small section, regardless I cant see us being one of the English innovators on this. Count me in if it ever happens though.

Re location and the comments on moving away fans this is one of the problems of the current stadium design, the only provision for away fans is the Bridgford end as they can be segregated here, T block can be used in exceptional circumstances. Police would not allow any other stand to be used for away fans.

My days of being stood up for 90 minutes are a distant bloody memory stick it behind the goal for the young uns and those daft enough to think they are young uns, leave me my seat and blanket alone please

Not at present, for legal reasons, but the plans are future compliant, so when legislation changes we can adapt to fit safe standing in, without needing to tear anything down, or start again.

That is very good news. Be great to have a stading area, will hopefull create a much better atmosphere.
