I must admit that when we lost Sam Byram I was a bit concerned and I thought that he would be a huge loss for us.

We then signed Janko who to be honest I knew nothing about, so I started to read up on him.

I saw many negative comments from Barnsley, Celtic, Man United and Porto fans and my fears grew worse, I became even more concerned.

However, he has been absolutely outstanding in the 3 games that he has played in so far.

He really looks like a fantastic signing and I hope we make his deal a permanent one in January.

Keep up the great work Saidy.

I couldn't agree more. Both he, and to a lesser extent Robinson, seem to have given us that extra something in defence. There seem to be fewer crosses raining in on the goalmouth. Maybe someone who is good with stats would let us know if this is true, or just an impression. The attacking runs stats are probably worth checking too.

I to agree that Janko has been a pleasant surprise but please keep in mind that it is a lot easier to be a defender these days when you have 6 players in front of you that is pressing and closing down with high intensity and as ONE unit. That was not the case before the international break.

I like his aggression, he can be a beast. He can play too, looks like he could become a crowd favourite which is a massive compliment to him. I have been very impressed.

I think hes pure quality, he's obviously grown as a player from the other clubs.

Signing him is a no brainer he's got it all.

Lets keep him until the end of the season and then see were we are next season before we commit to sign permanently sign the player. He might be ok in the Championship but might not be good enough for the Premiership.

Janko will become even more important to us following Darikwa's decision to play for Zimbabwe, no doubt he will miss matches for us in the future.

I’m not entirely convinced by him just yet, I don’t think he has enough quality in the final third as we setup currently.

Blackburn seemed to have a lot of joy down his side today.

I agree BD. He is still I think only 22 so he can develop much more yet.

I wonder how much Porto will ask for him.

I suppose the better he does the higher the fee will rise but we should get him for betwen  500,000 - 1M in my opinion. Just a guess.

They only just bought him for 3mill, I would think they would like to recoup that.
