Forget about Taylor I don't care about him.
If Vrentzos leaves I can't see how that can be a good thing for us. He's EM right hand man, his best mate and the only one he has complete trust in. I am a bit concerned by this.
Perhaps Vrentzos just genuinely doesn't fancy the job anymore?
I get that Wassy and it's possible but I still don't like it.
I am looking at it from EM's point of view. Some of our fans may love this news but to me that doesn't really matter.
What matters to me is how EM will feel about it, losing his right hand man and the one he trusts in with all financial matters. It's a bit of a problem and who comes in to replace Vrentzos IF he goes?

How long do you see EM being committed for Sniff if promotion is not forthcoming.
It is costing him a fortune.
If we are still a Champ club in 3 yrs does he sell us ?

I think he's very committed Reds although this news about Vrentzos has planted a slight doubt in my mind. I am trying to find out a bit more about it but nobody is talking over here, they are only quoting what Taylor has said and nothing more than that.
To those who want Vrentzos out how would you feel if Marinakis son took over? Not saying that is what will happen but i would say it's a possibility.

Taylor reporting this now...
More changes on the way for #NFFC - and a new guy coming in from the Bundesliga.
George Syrianos, currently head of analytics at VfB Stuttgart, is taking a senior role at Forest in a new-look recruitment team. Should be announced in coming weeks.

Syrianos knows all about finances too. This must be Vrentzos replacement surely? He's of Greek origin and known to EM.

What does EMs son currently do Sniffer?
I would imagine he has had the best education available, and I would also imagine he be a chip off the old block as far as drive and determination is concerned.
If he runs things as well as Vrentzos and lets the football people get on with the football side of things, he should be a good fit for the job.
The Greek Bearing Gifts chap on LTLF reckons this is a repeat of what happened at Olympiakos; Vrentzos ran things very well but interfered in team affairs and results suffered; that ended up with Karambeu taking over.
Apparently Vrentzos and EM go way back before there was any involvement in football; if he does depart from Forest, and DT rowed back a bit on that this morning, you can bet he will still be working elsewhere in EMs empire.

At first glance this is truly excellent news. I hope it overcomes Sniffers justified fears about EM losing interest. Also Hopefully means for the first time we will be taking an informed approach to recruitment.
A couple of obvious points. We still need someone to run the business side of things. Vrentzos could I guess still do this from Greece but I suspect someone else locally would come in.
Secondly I assume this is with the blessing of Hughton and Brazil. An analytical approach is what we need but only works if the manager is on board and everyone sings from the same hymn sheet. But overall this has made me more optimistic that we can get things right than I have been for a long time.

He knows somethings but other things he was clearly wrong on.
Everything doesn't have to be so black and white all the time Widdow.
I see that you do like your extremes with little middle ground!

Syrianos might do the business side of things too.
He's Performed due diligence, business evaluation and research for various strategy projects. He's also prepared and analysed investment opportunities and developed presentations for leading private equity funds.

Sounds good Sniffer. Maybe thats the incentive for him to come here, he gets a promotion plus he gets to work with people he knows as well as bringing in skills he has used in a Bundesliga club.
Put it this way its better than being run by a spanish boxer playing with daddy's money.
