Birmingham - Nottingham Forest
He took it.

He scored.

Not sure what there is to debate here.

I was concerned when I saw that he was to take it - but it was a well taken pen & right in the corner.

Yes it was and you're absolutely right, it shouldn't be a point of debate. But it wasn't me who tweeted it was 'never in doubt'. In my head it had less than a 50% chance of going in and I bet that headline was written because the club tweeter guy thought that too!!!

Not attributing this to anyone Pap - and no offence intended.

My overriding thought though - and I commented to the missus - as he placed the ball was that he would get mullered on here if he missed

Oh, yes can you imagine if he'd missed?. He'd be less popular than an american owner of a superleague club.

Clear from the photo the Juke clattered in with a nasty head challenge.

Well done to Grabban for holding his nerve.

Who put the cross in for Yate's header? Pity that Yate's header hit the cross bar. It's Yate's 2nd header that floats for McKenna to charge for his header before he gets clattered/nutted.

It’s clear - to me at least - having seen the incident from another angle that Juke made no attempt to play the ball.

Clear pen.

I agree. There is far too much of that sort of thing happening in the box nowadays and most refs are too scared to give a 'soft' penalty. But a foul is a foul and if it is inside the box, then it is a penalty.

If that offence had taken place anywhere else on the field, in any other game, 99% of the time a free kick wouldve been given with hardly any fuss made about it. But because it was inside the box, all of a sudden, it was a fair challenge and the player couldn't get out of the way (according to Bowyer at least)

It's the same with pushing opponents in the box or shirt pulling. They are fouls, but it is allowed to happen more and more often and I personally hate to see it. The same as I hate all of this going down after the slightest touch malarky. It is diving, plain and simple! Yates, Taylor and Knockaert are all guilty of doing this on a regular basis.

I bleeping hate shirt pulling.  Simulation.  And now.  Deliberate acts of taking another player out at any cost even if it means hurting the player.  Cheating.  Cheating.  And GBH.  Win at any costs. Disgusting.

Lets face it - the softest penalty this season was awarded against us at Brentford.
