100%
What is really amazing is that anyone who has endured watching us this season could seriously vote for anyone else, yet over 20% did.
Garner is a class act, so I guess I can see how some might vote on last few games possibly, but Christie and Cafu? Both have done well, especially over last month or two, but both a level below Worrall.
Or is it to avoid player of the season leaving curse?

I explained above, Christie has shown impressive fitness, has got the most assists, is our best crosser, consistently gets in key blocks and keeps running all game. I'm not denying Worrall is our best player but he's missed a lot of the season. So that marks him down IMO, if you're doing an av rating per game, he gets 0 for all those games.

Interesting way of looking at it, but have to respectfully disagree. Using that methodology I would place Samba above Christie too.
I rate him and Christie has definitely been our most improved player across the season, but he struggled massively early on. Was on the pitch when we looked like relegation fodder and on occasions would have also got a zero-or a negative score if we want to be awarding points for contributions to goals conceded.
He turned it around big time, but it was a gradual process to get to where he is now at and unless he is willing to take a pay cut, then I doubt we will see him here next season.
I digress, but Worralls influence has been huge this season. When he plays (especially with McKenna now) our full backs look better too- coincidence?
IF we start next season with Worrall and McKenna, it would be a really good season, Christie? Hopefully, but not going to make or break our season-unless Jenkinson is made 1st choice.

I think for the last month or two he's been our most consistent player. I know he got a lot of stick early on but I think that was applied to a lot of players. I'd be surprised if he didn't sign unless he's pushing for a massive deal, is a must sign for me. It took him around half a season to reach his level why start again.
Yeah I agree Worrall has helped him too, maybe it was a little tongue in cheek as I knew Worrall would win anyway. Also didn't know a runners up poll would appear! :D
I do think statistically he has had a better season that Worrall though. My point is Worrall is clearly our best player and most important player but feels like that's just auto given him player of the season whereas I think it's more of a debate

Not sure about that Tugger. I don't even think that he's the best player at Forest at the moment.
I doubt that Worrall will get into the Championship team of the season to be honest.

I've thought long and hard about this, it was either going to be Worrall or Garner. I plumped for Garner because he has had such a positive impact on the team since his arrival, with him in the team I believe they can win. I'm not surprised though to see how far ahead Worrall is. He deserves it too.

If he had been fit all season, he might have plus we would be a few places higher up the league.
Just a really class guy and very decent player who (like Yates) tries to improve every single day.
Slim pickings though this season really.

i've gone with Sammy Ameobi, so difficult to choose a player, due to such a disappointing season so far we could of had a 'who would of been your player of the season if not for: injury/not scoring/not getting picked/not quite worth the entrance fee/not being quite good enough to be a game changer etc?
i think Sammy Ameobi has been an unsung hero of the last 2 seasons, usually available, often being part of things and can produce special moments, good fitness, works hard, probably a good influence on the training pitch, in the dressing room and inspiring the youngsters
arrived during Martin O'Neills reign so maybe around 30 players have come and gone since Sammy joined
and guess what he goes and scores a dozen goals in the next 6 games
