Watford - Nottingham Forest

Countless times.

We really should be playing Soh who can pass and run with the ball out..........Figs is lost, he  can only hoof and teams know to close him down as he cannot pass and gives it away.

Not sure we can put today down to Figs.

He may ‘hoof the ball’ as you put it - but other players gave the ball away more than he did.

At least we turned up 2nd half. As said though we never hurt them, Watford looked like they had another gear if necessary too.

Exactly. If we want to blame anyone then it's Knockaert. Disgraceful how he made no attempt to track his man who ran staright passed him.

Hodge noting our 11 had scored just 9 league goals from 35 league games.

It was poor. Shocking attitude. Knocker got frustrated early on and allowed reffing decisions to upset his game. He's temperamental in that regard. He should have done his job on the tracking back.

Watford's front line faster, bigger and stronger. But they only scored one though. Despite all their vaunted quality. But it shows you need pace, energy and goal scoring to survive in this league.

Hodge making the point that the character of players in the Championship are speed, pace and power. And Forest don't have it. We used to have Burke and Antonio. Now we don't.

Honest interview by Hughton.

At least we can't blame the grass. Looked a decent pitch.

I thought Forest looked very static today.

Agree his primary position is as a #10, but we also need to get minute in him before the summer, as we have an option to buy & we'll have to make a decision on that. If he can be brought back to his best we should be looking at him in the summer, if he can't we should be looking to give him a wide berth & we need to play him to decide that.

It's a very big summer this summer, so there's a few players the manager hi going to have to run his eye over on the pitch, which mean we might get the odd contentious selection.

Reading, Norwich, Brentford and Cardiff coming up.

That can eat up that gap between Forest and Birmingham.

Those two results vs Derby and Luton might prove to be damaging.

If we can try to at least get some draws from the above games and win one, it would help.
