Nottingham Forest - Luton Town

Seem to lose our shape and composure when he went off.

Anybody who has any doubts about what he has brought to the team...

It was like a hole in the side when he went off.

Have to look at this and Derby match as a real wasted opportunity to make things a lot safer - now go into the next five games with a bit of pressure to get some results - if we repeat the results we had against these sides in the first half of season we could be right back in the mire come april

Yep.  A step back.

This and the Derby match a wasted brace.

For a game like this.  I wondered if we'd miss Yate's energy and will to win.  Pity he's injured.

Colnago, there might be a few of us going at the end of the season to be quite honest. The players currently showing the way are mainly loans, some of the contracted players are just not putting the effort in.

When we are chasing the game and need a goal, we are utterly ineffective and make it comfortable.

I often wonder about that.

It seems to be a perennial Forest problem.

We were back to where we were at the start of the season when he went off. Utterly clueless in midfiled. Lots of water carriers but no creativity.

I feel we would have been better off keeping walker than signing Taylor - I imagine wages wise walker was on a fraction of what Taylor was on.

Ultimately Taylor has not impressed - and clearly believes he is better than he is. He probably over achieved in a struggling Charlton side that had him as there main goal threat. He is at best a league one striker and just seems an older and more expensive replacement for walker

In defence of the players and the manager, i did think we looked a bit leggy. Knockheart died in the second and Murray too. Both full back stopped bombing forward too.

No suprise the sheep lost tonight too. The derby games take a lot out of the players I always think.

Interesting stats.

But goals are a problem.

Well what a perplexing game that was.

Positives:
First 60 minutes tempo and passing.
2 wide men were rampant first half.
36 yes 36 crosses into box
8 crosses completed.
Lolley looked like Lolley
Luton were too sh1t to really punish us in the last 25 minutes.

Negatives:
We didn't score...we should've...but didn't.
Result.
Response to going behind was terrible.
Subs made little impact-maybe people will stop moaning about the lack of changes CH makes-unless you can invent a new imaginary angle like Green Man (see above.)
Krovinivic didn't create anything again. I like him, but not his day after a bright first half.
Samba got so bored he wanted shooting practice so his distribution not as it can be to say the least.

Think you have hit the nail on the head with Taylor, I was quite excited by him, his performance at the city ground last year for Charlton was top drawer, he has got nowhere near that level of performance for us. Looks absolutely awful.

Another positive. Lolley looks like he has the confidence to take the defender on and go past him. Hopefully he can build on that and get more game time for us now.
