With you on Grabban, I am one of his biggest supporters but losing patience. But again I have seen nothing from Taylor to suggest he is an improvement.
^^^^ Agree with every word.
Roberts was flying to head that ball and had all the momentum. For me the cross should've been blocked in the first place but that was the only fault on the night from Christie, who I thought had a decent game otherwise.
Re Grabban, he really does need to be in the box more now. The trouble is, he's never really been a decent finisher. When he has chance to think about a chance he usually misses. That why his penalty record is so poor imo and it was no suprise he fluffed the chance when put through. Under Sabri, the system played to his strengths (or he made the system a success maybe) . Now there's chances being created in the six yard box, crosses going in and we're being more progressive, we need more of a natural box finisher. While I agree that Taylor has been poor imo, I think he is much more suited in that role in this team and might be worth a chance ahead of Grabban. Cant see it happening though to be honest.
Also agree with all the above, ribeiro looked decent going forward too although his heading issue is recurrent even if it perhaps wasn't the main issue today.
Murray will come back in next game anyway but Grabban just isn't scoring. It's a similar pattern to earlier in the season pre injury. Just frustrating to watch

It's not the first time SM, opposition teams target it. There was a time when I thought Ribeiro was fairly decent but this season he's been dreadful like Grabban.
I think our new singings have done well. Cafu looking like a good addition, Knockaert, Garner and Krovinovic all looking good. In my opinion we are being let down a bit by some of our older signings the likes of Grabban, Ribeiro and even Lolley. These players go back to when Karanka was in charge.
Yeah.
Grabban, Rib' and Lolley are Aitor leftovers. And their quality is waning. In the Summer, it's time to move on or we're serious about top 6. We need a couple of wins back to back to get to mid-table 'security.' We deserved 'a bit more' out the two games and made Swansea look ordinary. A silver lining out of the sting of last gasp defeat.
The fullbacks are soft.
They don't stop crosses and can't head defensively. It's not the 1st time Rib' has been caught out. From the highlights it looks like basic school boy error defending.

Maybe but how about giving him some game time with the new players we now have in the team. How many times has Taylor been given a chance with Garner, Krovinovic and Knockaert in the team.
And yet he is still our top scorer.

Have to trust in Hughton.
He seems to have got most calls correct.
Clearly is t impressing him enough at the minute.
Quite clearly 3rd choice at present

I do trust CH Reds73 but I can still question him, I am delighted with CH actually, he's the best thing that has happened to NFFC for a long time.
I just can't get my head around how Grabban gets in the team on the form he's displayed in front of goal so far this season.

Stick with him Sniff.
He’s still quality at this level.
If he’s good enough for Hughton - then I’m happy.

It's the Cafu I've been waiting for.
Shows what giving players time in a team does for their confidence. And ofc, we can't overlook having better players around him in Garner and Krov'.
