35 years ago today 18/1/1986. Nigel Clough headed in a late winner as Nottingham Forest came from behind to win 3-2 against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Colin Walsh scored Forest's other 2 goals.

This was a night never to forget. Today 30/1/1980 Nottingham Forest defeated Barcelona 1-0 in the first leg of the UEFA Super Cup thanks to Charlie George's goal at The City Ground.

Zico- I used to sit on the girder at the back of the Trent end as a kid - brilliant view and that free kick is etched in my memory as it was like an exorcet missile heading straight to my head if it wasn’t for the goal and net... I rate it better than Lewis mcgugans

When I see goals like that again it always astounds me how heavy the ball looks. But what a goal. To get so much power and accuracy in the shot from a dead ball is amazing. That was Pearce at the absolute top of his game. In the summer he went to Italia '90 and missed his penalty. And then the next season he was simply unplayable. Didn't he get 16 goals or something from left back? Unbelievable. If he were playing like that in today's game he'd be worth £50mill.
