Had meant to mention this on Friday... a lot of mud gets thrown in Greece, but it never sticks, as the phrase goes.

#NFFC owner Evangelos Marinakis has been cleared of match-fixing allegations.

Does Paul read this Forum?

Ha yeah not the first time that's happened. Not really a surprise, good to see his commitment in following the fans opinions.

Some form of acknowledgement that EM has been cleared of all pending charges against him deserves, at the very least, the same kind of attention.

The Post did write about it

Thanks for that clarification Colnago, I wasn't aware!

The Post ran with a story on EM being cleared last week; Clapson who wrote the story copied what GBG on LTLF had posted verbatim, much to the amusement of everyone on the Forum.

It really is shabby journalism

Just moved a couple of posts into the Transfer Strategy Thread so we can keep this thread on topic EM and Co.

^^ can’t say that surprises me - even if it almost certainly is from the pen of an aggrieved fan ( for whatever reason )...

Looked up the guy who wrote the article, seems to be a bit of a gobshite on Reddit and is just an Oly fan. Wouldnt pay too much attention to it although hearing that EM has an ego and doesnt accept failure isnt any news to any of us.

I guess it’s more the comments on Vrentzos.

Leave him to the legal and financial side, cos he clearly as has already been proven at nffc, he isn’t good enough to meddle in football matters and recruitment

Whether its critical or complimentary, its just one mans view. A man who probably knows nowt about what goes on in EM's world.

If EM being cleared of match fixing charges was not newsworthy then this above is certainly not newsworthy or even worth commenting on.

I have read the tweet and also the comments that replied to it and in all fairness, most are saying it is a load of gash. Not many are actually going along with it, which is surprising knowing what some of our fanbase are like
