Or maybe what if he had shot and it had squeezed in under the keeper from the tight angle.
Yes all ifs and buts.

It is certainly no coincidence that the change to our fortunes has occurred in line with Grabban's return to the side.

More Worrall and an in form Sow He was also in the team ended last season and started this season so poorly, is that a coincidence? End of day, 2 goals in 25 games (one a fortunate penalty) , proving his prolific days seem to behind him, Saturday led the line but didn’t trouble the keeper again. Guess he helped made up for ducking that cross against Stoke by heading one off the line, but just needs to find his clinical form For me he shouldn’t be captain and doesn’t lead by example.

I am a huge fan of Grabban, in form a superb goal scorer and off the ball work excellent too and I do think he leads by example.
However I am with you, he isnt a natural captain, would prefer either Worrall or Mckenna. He shouldnt take pens either!

Best captains are the guys that can see the play un-folding in front of them (this excludes goalkeepers) defenders also tend to be tougher character's and outspoken then most forward thinking players. Captains should lead by example, a good captain normally results in a good and achieving football club!

Agree that he's not captain material, other than he probably commands respect amongst the players. Personally, I'd want my captain to be shouting and hassling his team mates. Wozza is an obvious captain material. Re the lack of goals, I think he's about more than goals. His ability to receive the ball under pressure and retain it is a great strength. The trouble is, we dont have many other players who grab the goals when he doesnt. So it's not all about him. Also that we've played Sheff Wed, Millwall twice, Brum, Stoke, Preston and Cardiff. That's helped a lot. On the actual Grabban stuff, I generally prefer strikers to shoot they rarely get that pass right and you don't want them to be indecisive. In that instance it was a bit wide but I'm happy with his choice. I also don't think the captain has much of an impact if any at all. I'm not sure Worrall for example is going to suddenly start not shouting at people because he doesn't have an armband on. I'd say the only impact it's likely to have is on the guy wearing it as it might make him feel more responsibility and change his personal mentality.

Those who can’t see grabbs qualities need to get their eyes tested. He will have a purple patch soon I am sure...
Agree he should have passed to mighten who made some fabulous runs inside from the left...
