Can we just say we're not bothered and concede?

At first sight - a dreadful draw.
But Swansea - 2nd in the table & about to embark on 3 successive away league games ( 2 before the cup tie & 1 after ) Suggests that they may want to rest even more players than us?

Is it just me that thinks a decent cup run would brighten up this godforsaken season? Assuming there is enough about us to stay up its the only thing we have to play for. Swansea have bigger things on their mind and we get to play Man City reserves in the 5th.
Remind me the last time we made the quarter finals of any competition?

We could easily get a win at Swansea, but what for? The chance to be humiliated on or own pitch by Man city kids?
No thanks, thats nothing for me to look forward to. Hate it when we draw top sides.

If we got promoted im working on the basis that we'd be half decent at least, but honestly speaking, and ive said it on here before, the prospect of getting into the prem just to get beaten every week doesn't get my juices flowing at all. Ask Fulham, West Brom or Sheff Utd fans if they're enjoying watching their teams get thumped every week. I suppose im just completely turned off by the modern inequalities in football, that's all.

Man City are Away at Burnley and Liverpool on 2nd and 6th Feb, after the FA cup fixture at home to Spurs, then away to Arsenal and then away to Borussia Munchengladbach in the CL, they play 7 games in Feb, ok we maybe have no chance but i think it's quite exciting It is an awesome opportunity to put scoop ball on the map From football perspective there is nothing more exciting, maybe an a glint of an opportunity to fire up the players to hit their absolute potential Man City also have 2 games in hand to make up on most other PL teams
Even if City make 11 changes and we play our best side I would say 9.5 times out if 10 they will win the game.
No home crowd to get behind us either so no home advantage. We'd just have to sit at home and feel the pain as the goals went in.
