Nottingham Forest - Cardiff City
Of all the signings. Disappointed with Arter.

First match I’ve missed all season with it not being on iFollow

Compact.  Character.  It's a characteristic of this recent run and the close results before that Chris has Forestvplaying as a tighter unit.  More difficult to beat.  A more robust muck and nettles character.  So we played like that and won.  I'd take that to get us to mid table safety.

Pity it wasn't a league game to take us lowercmid table.

Sweet run by Bong with nonchalant finish by Lyle.

But Cardiff bossed the midfield without Yates and Sow in there.

Resolute twin towers of Worrall and McKenna reminded me of better times.

Come on Sniff I thought you were better than this. You are not being objective in saying that we played our second eleven and they played their first.
Who is ' a second eleven' ? Worrall ? McKenna?, Cafu? Ameobi' Lolley? Arter? Taylor ? Yates? Who else? ... it's not as if we played Swan and another three kids st thd same time. At best I can give you Smith as the official back up, but I thought that Bong played better then Ribs , Jenkinson wasnt that far away from Christie, Sow and Mighten came on too... so let's try to honest here ...result was good , central defenders were very good, Smith was good, Taylor scored a great goal from a good Bong cross for the rest...it was worst than in previous weeks... Lolley is red gressing, Ameobi as bad as he can be, Cafu played in a more defensive role was totally ineffective and Guerrero ? My guess is that is the last we see of him..

Sniffer is obviously talking about the starting 11 Malta not the matchday squad. I think CH made 8 changes from the last league game so sniffer is correct.

I can’t believe we’ve actually beaten them. It’s been a long time coming but well done lads.

Worrall and McKenna look as good as any centre back partnership in the Championship. They hardly had a shot on target. Lovely run by Bong and excellent finish by Lyle.

Easy now, I thought we agreed that none of our players would get into any of the top teams in this division - #seriouslyoverratedsquad

The two aren’t mutually exclusive. Worrall is a good player and McKenna was our best signing in years. Beyond that, Figs is alright but inconsistent, and Soh is raw and inexperienced.

I fear he will become a long term member of the bomb squad.

Hopefully someone else can be convinced to make the same mistake we did...

Of course Arter is off the pace. He’s been injured and has hardly played. Now out injured again presumably.

on the BBC there is a ''FA Cup Stunners'' compilation of the sweetest strikes from yesterday, 5 goals feature, we sneaked in at number 5

i have been trying to get the expectations aligned, i am happy with 1 moment of class especially if it wins us the game, but hoping to come away with more 'moments of class' to think about

seems Guerrero isn't going to make it, and Arter, Lolley and well, quite a few coming in for criticism

the problem from what i can see is that when the group defaults to 'scoop ball', virutally impossible to win possession of duals where we tend to lose out as they are scoops out from defence and all our players are back, the scoop reaches half way but eventually, often immediately gets recycled by the opposition

i think the scoop ball is the problem, when all your players are back anyway

when Chris Hughton says 'we made it hard for ourselves' maybe it is when 'scoop ball' takes over, could involve deep embedded thought processes, maybe it's related to virus, who knows

Yates and Sow seemed to make a differance

Maybe 4 3 3 would work better, the longer scoops, even if Taylor gets a glance on it, usually come to nothing

Agreed. I don't know why some feel the need to criticise him.

Calm down gari never heard of a squad of 2....

A squad of players as good as those 2, then we would be laughing. Problem being they are our 2 best players by a country mile right now. Let's hope we keep them and try to find players that match there quality.

Unfortunately neither will solve the problems that ultimately win games and that is creativity and goals. But they will make us hard to beat.

Because at the moment he isn't living up to his 'premier League' status Sniff, therefore he is a waste of time, money, effort, breath, air, space, shirt (Delete as applicable) to some fans
