Lyle Taylor's interview on Radio Nottm was superb. He was class today but gave all the credit to defence and 2 Centre mids. I feel the Wycombes energy in 2nd half especially when the big lad came on was in danger of over running us has been underestimated.

I think its dangerous to be disparaging about the "smaller" clubs. Wycombe looked dangerous and energetic going forward but a bit suspect at the back.

Shout out for Colback today, looked like the player we had on loan.

Really good team performance.

I was thinking during the first half with both Taylor and Guerrero playing so well together that we haven't seen that type of fluidity up front for quite a few seasons!

What was some on here saying a couple of weeks ago about putting 4-4-2 to bed once and for all?

Thd thing is that Guerrero moved alot. Hd wasn't just up there waiting for the ball, hd was more of a 10 ... even Taylor, he helped even at corners...the dilemma now is... what are we going to do with Grabban? ... we cannot just change thd team to accommodate him. Today, in my opinion,  CH made a mistake when he replace Ameobi... if he wanted to bring in Lolley, Knockhart was the one to give way nof Ameobi...nof fair on the later...that's hos you destroy the confidence of a player...

Couldn't agree more. When you can't string 2 passes together - as vs Sheep -the formation is almost irrelevant as you are on the back foot, deep and defending too much. Plus good sides are fluid and get the numbers where the ball is when not in possession.

Guerrero was playing up front, but really put in a shift harrying their defenders and midfielders. I thought his all round game was very good. He wont score too many himself, but the team just might.

Small steps but 7 games 12 points ts is pretty good at any time, but from a team that was on its ar$e is a real turn around. Chris Hughton is certainly proving to be the right man for the job.

An old fashioned 10 maybe, but certainly not the new style boll@cks lazy ar$ed "play maker" number 10. He was playing in a front 2, but was doing what all good centre forwards should do. Coming short sometimes, making runs down the line, running the channels occasionally, getting in the box and not giving defenders any peace.

As for accommodating Grabban, what a great problem for the manager to have.

We won 2-0 so wont be nit picking "making a mistake". Sami Ami looks pretty confident to me every time he gets the ball- I doubt a breather will dent this. He's in the most consistent form of his career over the last 15 months according to him. We all thought he would be a back up to Albert and Lolley when we signed him, but he has earned his 1st XI slot. I wouldn't worry about his confidence from getting a 20 odd minute breather or whatever it was. Trust in Hughton and we will go up, not necessarily this season, but we will.

I'm happy with the points so far but maybe let's not throw too much undue praise on CH. We've had very friendly fixtures, will be much tougher in the next block of games. That'll be a proper test of whether he's making progress

There are no friendly fixtures in this league. Plenty of supposedly lower teams f#cked up our season last year. The praise at this stage for the job done so far is definitely due

There aren’t really any harder/easier fixtures in the Championship. We’ve found that out to our cost in the past few years. There’s very little difference in quality between most teams at the top and most teams at the bottom. In a one off game any team can usually beat any other, with a few exceptions. What makes the biggest difference is the depth of squads which teams who get promoted tend to have.

Regardless, 1.7 points per game in his first 7 games is a very good start.

i was going to put up Guerrero for man of the match, though the game was only 7 mins and 38 seconds in, but i'd seen enough to see he is a great player, the reckless challenge and justified yellow might of affected him a bit.

the Ameobi effort would of been a cracker, the ref felt it deflected and gave the corner, if it hit anyone i think it glanced off McKenna's back

i think there will be some amazing goals, McCleary looked good .. better than Knocky? .. maybe, Knocky seems a bit over complicated, but i don't mind i think if those front players can really click, even for short spells they look a dangerous collective

Lyle Taylor did some amazing moves after he scored his 2nd, also when on a hatrick he became more selfless for the cause, crikey i wanna hug that fella
