Sniffer - as a big advocate of the big man - has he lost interest and cutting his losses?

The sad thing is Jom is still referenced on Vital amongst all the crap that’s spewed. Jom was great as long as you took what was said with a pinch of salt but that is the same with most forums really.

I don't think he was that bad. People just created this monster version of him. His "Goss from Gloucs" on 606 was always good.
That is why I assumed sniffer was Jom, they have a similar style

TwangaandBoots Sniffer lives in Greece he's definitely not Jom and not even close.
Sniffer actually gets stuff right.

We will wanted and still want EM to be a success... there has been so much good done off the pitch and behind the scenes but what’s happened over 4 years on the pitch is beyond belief.
I refuse to believe EM has given up and will let us sink to league 1. But equally I also hope that if we do sell it is to someone who doesn’t own another football club. I honestly believe this is where the issues have arisen. Apply the same tactics to those that work in the Mickey Mouse Greek league in the championship will never work.

I do wonder why EM would want to sell though- unless he’s just got bored or tired of it all. And it would be disappointing if he just quit on the project as he’s been well liked and supported by the fans so hasn’t exactly been hounded out.
Yes it’s cost him money, but if Jacob Marley has shown them the mistakes of recruitment past, and he’s now set up the right team to steer us forward with this plan B, then logic dictates if he actually believed in plan B then much of his financial pain may be behind him. By quitting he would also surely make himself and Randall look a bit stupid (understatement) with their ‘commitment to the new stadium’ BS.

He's losing a min 13m a year to meet operating losses (usually more when you include non FFP expenses) so call it 20m. Depends how big that money pit is, I'm sure he can see that we're not really getting any closer to going up. The value of a championship club is all baked into getting into the prem, if not it's just years of painful losses. |
