I felt a bit sorry for Sabri yesterday, I am glad that he left out Dawson, Worrall, Watson, Grabban, Sow and Samba, no way we should risk them in a competition that we are not going to win. However if Bostock and Semedo picked up knocks in training and Yates is still getting back to full fitness then it left Sabri with a huge problem. He covered it the best way that he could but against a top quality squad like Arsenal have got we were always going to come up short.
Also with an injury to Mir it left us without a recognised Striker on the pitch.
We move on, it's all about Friday and it always was.
In Sabri we trust.

Agree with that DM. Sabri was in an impossible situation so I respect the fact that he did his best. Friday matters a 100 times more but I hate getting beat especially when it shows how much has to be done after promotion. Still I have faith that we will do it.

It definitely would, we consistently failed to hold the ball up, giving possession away and putting them on the front foot.

It wasn't a good cup draw for us, I bet Lamouchi never wanted this game. It hasn't really done him or the team any favours.

I'm a big fan of SL, but he clearly got the team wrong against Arsenal. Although the last couple of goals don't really count as he'd given up and put the kids on for experience.
Ameobi was better up front than Adomah, the midfielders were not tough enough...... the list does go on.

No manager is perfect and some things they try just don't work, as long as they learn then all is good. I think he'll admit himself that in hindsight he'd do things differently.

I went to Arsenal, and didn't expect the 1st team to play, or for us to win. It was a free pass really, losing to Arsenal we all expected it. There are many other teams/managers who had bigger problems.

I view it slightly differently in that I think it will have done us good the soft underbelly of Forest over the last 20 years has too often been nipped in the bud by over confidence and thinking to much of themselves 

Tuesday was a good leveler and from where I was sat we were well in that until the opening goal and that opening goal has hot got the credit it deserves as there was no spectacular finish but that was impossible to defend against and instead of catching a complacent Arsenal we caught one who's confidence improved massively, the 15 mins after they scored was a master class in killing of a game, they strangled the life out of us 

As for Friday I'd rather Forest go into that game licking wounds, pride hurt and an opportunity to put the record straight on TV than one getting plaudits for an admirable 2-0 loss

On the subject of Sabri and his picking of the team I think we can conclude that Yacob and Pantilimon will never play for us again otherwise both would have surely been involved in the 18. I would go as far as to say that Sabri has probably excluded them both from training with the rest of the players although I don't have any hard evidence to back that up, just my opinion.
