Me being cynical here but the EFL has agreed teams will be promoted but the Premier league has agreed nothing yet.

Play-offs will also be played, but with no more than four teams.

The EFL has confirmed that 51% of clubs in either the Championship, League One or League Two need to agree for a campaign to be curtailed.

If a season is ended, the final table will be decided by an unweighted points-per-game system.

I'd say Fulham would want to play on with a reasonable chance of auto's. Else position-wise 5 of the top 6 would benefit from stopping. + 5 clubs within 3 points of the drop zone. It would be difficult to find another 3 though, the other clubs are either realistically chasing play-offs or about same distance from play-offs as relegation. Maybe FFP penalties could affect their thinking.

Any news on points deductions & FFP penalties?

What a complete legal mess the championship could be in a few weeks.

Derby, Sheff Wed and Brum currently charged with flouting FFP rules and have possible points deductions pending. Those 3 might vote to stop playing to remove any risk of relegation if they're found guilty.  Barnsley have given notice that they'll be taking legal action if they get relegated and those 3 haven't had had their hearings. So that's all a mess. Us, Brentford, Preston and Fulham are reportedly prepared to go legal if the play-offs are abandoned. And if they go ahead the play offs could turn into a farce if any of the clubs lose players.

And that assumes that the PL will play ball.
As for Sheep, Wednesday, Brum et al - if the season is declared null & void just move the penalties to next season.

So with players due back in training tomorrow, I wonder if any will ‘refuse’ to return due to COVID.

Interesting that Lolley has deleted his Twitter. He has been very vocal on the subject of COVID and that the lockdown shouldn’t have been relaxed in any way.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was one that won’t return - purely guesswork of course.

We will see tomorrow. Hopefully everyone will be back and everyone will be fit and healthy. Fingers crossed.

He's an intelligent and opinionated bloke. I wouldn't be surprised either. You're right,  he seemed to have strong views re the lockdown. I stopped following him a few days ago because i didnt want to read it any more.
