Well that was a cracking first game. My thoughts;
We already knew we had a top end back 5, but our midfield really clicked yesterday too. Most dominant half since Brighton, but context is key. First game is often like a cup game with 100mph midfield battle and tackles flying in. Not this time.
Anderson, MGW and Sangare were imperious in first half. All three of them were everything we hoped they could be. But....We caught Brentford at a good time, they will be a different proposition in a month or two and they were terrible. But you can only beat what's in front of you.
Front 3 were excellent, loved Ndoyes header. But Chris Wood again ole ole! What a guy. We can keep signing these forwards from Brazil and France, but they will all have to wait in line behind the main man.
Brilliant day.

The officiating was odd. Watched Leeds get a penalty tonight which was much less of one in comparison to the one we weren’t given. Can’t believe decision was reversed by the VAR. I also found it strange that the ref blew the final whistle 10 seconds before injury time was supposed when we had a fee kick within shooting range. I don’t think he would have done that if a free kick had been awarded to Brentford. The ref should have booked himself for denying a goal scoring ioportunity
