With only preseason and end of season form to really go off you would actually make Brentford favourites for this match. With the loss of both strikers they still managed to create and score goals. Were we have struggled with the creative part of the game and managed just one goal in preseason and the wins dried up in the end of season run in.
Brentford are know for their scouting and tactical analysis of the opposition however they will have gained nothing from preseason on us apart from a potential new shape and new names who will have some data available from previous clubs. Going to be interesting to see how their A.I. driven selection and tactics play out with a new and inexperienced manager. With lots of things changing for both teams I expect this to be a dull cagey affair with both sides not wanting to lose. Likely that a single goal wins this match. If it comes to that I have a feeling Brentford will come away with all three points.

No Wissa, no Mbuemo, no Frank. It feels like a great time to play them.

A Minimum of 48 Match threads. We are back in business. I think the mood has lifted as we got Europa League confirmed and now closing in 2 good players in McAtee and Kalimuendo.
Yes we didn't score many goals in pre season but they aren't competitive games so Players just see it as improving fitness and Nuno was experimenting. Though I saw enough in the last two pre season games to think we will be fine. We get to hear from Nuno tomorrow for the first time since returning to pre season. It will be good to see what he says as it has been a rather chaotic summer off the pitch. Jota passing away will have been tough on Nuno, Elanga situation, MGW Situation, Europa/Conference situation plus four new signings. 6 new contracts plus a new contract for Nuno himself. Many more signings are expected Team for Saturday is likely to be Sels, Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams, Sangare, Anderson, MGW, CHO, Ndoye, Wood Jesus, Yates and Cunha on the bench.

It's good Brentford don't have Wissa and I think this is a good time to play them. Can't remember his name but that striker they signed last year should feature surely? With the bad injury. I think a lot goes on that.
This is still a tricky game but we are playing them at the best time. |
