Is it worth pointing out (probably not) that Dyche took over at Burnley from Eddie Howe who had 2 seasons there but couldn't get them promoted, he didn't even get them top 6.
Then Dyche took over from Howe and got them promoted in his first season.

I'm more invested with this appointment than with the Postecoglou one.
I get the wish to move to more progressive football but I don't think he was the man to do it.
Dyche - should it happen - is what we need right here right now.

I'll just be glad when this whole scenario is over and we can hopefully start picking up some wins.
Don't think we will ever hear the full story of what went on behind the scenes but for Nuno to agree a new contract and then behave the way he did was poor unless terms of that contract were not met.
Ange always felt like the wrong appointment (for the right reason?) we clearly want to move to a more progressive style of play but crikey why anyone thought Ange was the right man i dont know.
The owner is being criticised for how the Nuno scenario played out - fairly or not, but I feel he has acted quickly to correct the mistake he made in appointing Ange which is a good thing (though perhaps could have been done 2 weeks ago !).
Dyche isnt what could be considered a sexy appointment (in any way lol) but is perhaps the right one for where we are right now. If he can unite the players and fans (which Ange certainly couldn't) and make us harder to beat we might hopefully be able to enjoy Saturdays (and Thursdays) again.
Have to say I am looking forward to Thursday night now where I was dreading it at the weekend.
Bring the noise and lets see where we get to.
First the points and then the pints….

Oh no.............
We will be back to low block and "hoofball"........lots of long balls over the top, long throws.......defender just kicks it aimlessly into the opposition half and waits for it to come back again...........
I am filled with dread now..........

Think they'll get a really good reception Thursday and it'll get everyone pulling in same direction again.
I'm pleased for Dyche, its a job he's coveted for some time and a chance to prove he's more than Burnley and a financially broken Everton.

It's not been announced officially yet has it although it seems a done deal. I didn't want postacoglu but supported him to the (near ) end.
Im going on record that I don't want Dyche. His record in general is poor. There is a reason he has been at the dole office for so long. No one wants his brand of football. He is not Ems first choice Im guessing the likes of Mancini and Silva were well ahead in the pecking order. We are using a band aid to fix a wound that needs stitches. Yes I know I am saying this before his team has kicked a ball and hear the cries of " give him a chance"
Our midfield players will constantly be in the treatment room having therapy to their necks after constantly watching the ball sail overhead from Sels in a vain attempt to find Woody up front.
Having said that I don't want him to fail because if he fails then the team fails.
Good luck Sean, I look forward to the pelters I am going to get when you keep us up and get into the Europa league final.

We played lovely passing football on Saturday for 30 minutes. It was something to behold at times.
