I think Karanka needs to be a bit ruthless here.

Having a top class goalkeeper (something I think we don't have) could be the difference between promotion or not.

After last night, I'm at the point where I agree with that.

It was the difference between winning and drawing last night.

Yeah it's time now to be ruthless, he's so immobile, can't distribute what so ever. I loved him last season he was everything we wanted in a keeper. Where has he gone or is it we are now competing at the business end of the table we now require that quality..
Some may say one bad game In 6? Tbh not had a great deal to do. Yes been poor all season, I've lost my patience with him now, time for Steele until Jan please aitor.

He wasn’t that good last season.

I didn't want us to sign him in the first place.

I thought that I would bring this thread back now with Steele leaving to join Olympiakos.

Looks like we are definitely going to be signing a new 'Number 1' with Pants becoming 'Number 2'.

So, who is the new Number 1'...

How do you know we're getting a new no1 Sniff?

This may be a promotion for Smith to no 2 and a few mill in the ffp account for the 'sale' of Steele.

The club might be trying to strengthen elswhere without passing the ffp threshold. Smith and Steele are closely matched IMO so it would make sense.

I don't, I was just presuming that we would be.

Now Sausage Roll has uploaded a tweet from Steele denying the move

Not very often Adonis is wrong but seems he might be here. He wouldn't have tweeted if he wasn't very confident of it happening though.

In fairness to Antonis he said that the reports were from 'Reliable Greek media' rather than himself. Maybe this time the media wasn't so reliable.

Agreed SP but like I said though he wouldn't have tweeted it if he didn't think it was happening.

Any why would this story suddenly appear out of the blue in Greece? I cant imagine Steele, a reserve keeper, is worthy enough of attracting interest, had there been none.

There's obviously been some discussions about a move. I'm encouraged that we're looking for some movement in the keeper(s) situation as it suggests that AK is not happy with it.
