Exactly! It's not like we are coming up against Bournemouth and Fulham in the next couple of games. It's Peterborough, Swansea and Hull and apart from SC wanting to get the better of his former employers, there wont be the pressure on him to field his strongest possible side that could potentially cause further problems down the line. These are the types of games he could benefit resting the odd player, just not like Sabri did and changed half the bloody team though!!

I'm sure this isn't meant to and I get the point about Bournemouth and Fulham being a class above the rest of us, but this comes across a bit arrogant. 7 points from those games would represent a very good haul indeed.

Also, as a paying customer I expect the manager to pick the strongest available side for every league match. I get that with 3 games in 7 days a bit of player management was required last week  but after 8 days without a game...best XI please.

Have we not tripped up enough over these ,"types of games" to know how dangerous any team can be? Even the Sheep took 4 points from Bournemouth and Fulham last week.

Any "opposition fans comments" researching this site would look at that post and think who the f@(k do they think they are?

Maybe I am misreading it a touch as the point about being sure Tutu is fit and ready is completely valid (though I have little faith in him staying fit for long)  but that is irrelevant of the opposition in this league.

Yeah agreed, plus these are the games we need to be winning if we wanted to push further up the league so all the more reason to play a full strength side.

Buy Lowe and recall Ioannou, job done. If we can't agree a fee for Lowe then there is always Buchanan. I am not concerned about left back in the long term, it will be sorted in January.

That sounds good to me, but will the blunts sell him for a price we would be willing to pay or could afford, especially if they are looking at Buchanan as well, and would Ioannou want to come back, does anyone actually know if money is going to be spent in January or are we going to have to sell first.

There's the rub.

If we wanted to add Buchannan (LB) from Derby and Spence from Boro' (RB) to the side...what price both?  £3million?  £4Million?  £5 million?

At some point it would be better to own our fullbacks.  What would we want for Spence if he was 'our' player?

Look at how much Cash went for.  And he was a converted RB.

It's interesting that you say that.

Upon his departure, Warnock (the footballing anti-christ...), said that he felt that Boro' were 3 players short of where they need to be (but Gibson wasn't playing ball.).  And he must have felt somewhat frustrated by the yo-yo form Boro' had knowing he needed those 3 extra players (a bit where Forest are right now...needing those '3' extra players...) just as much as Gibson was frustrated (and the fans) at the style of football being played at Boro'.

If they sold Spence for 3.5 - 5 million, that would give Wilder the funds he needs to take them into the top 6?  'Maybe?'

At some point, Wilder (and yes, our Steve Cooper) will want to bring in their 'own' players.  Given Wilder was interested in the Forest job...it will be interesting to watch both of their trajectories on and off the pitch.

I have to respect the job Cooper did at Swansea and Wilder did at Sheff Utd.

Be interesting to see what they both do this January.

I reckon Sheff would want £3m for Lowe (3 years left on his contract) and the sheep £1.5m for Buchanan (18 months left on his contract?). Whether both clubs will get that is debatable but Lowe's had an excellent season. Buchanan less so but in a better side he would probably look better, so both players will likely have many suitors.

4.5 million for two LBs.

And add Spence to the bill of fullbacks?  £ 5 million?

9.5 million on 3 fullbacks?

I can't see Forest doing that.

I doubt we will sign both Lowe and Buchanan and Spence would cost less than 5M so 9.5M is a bit off the mark.

I heard a little rumour that Lowe could be available for as little as 1m due to United wanting his wage off of the books.

Buchanan would not cost a great deal and I am fairly sure Spence would not either; neither of them are on great deals with their Clubs and those deals do not have very long to run

I would go for all three personally, one of the LBs could potentially slot in as a LCB in a three if we wanted to get them both on the pitch.

We did have a little budget left over from the summer, although I'm guessing the budget will all depend on any offers for the usual Worrall/Johnson.

If they're not got long to run on their contracts (Buch?  Spence?)  Why not.  We need two LBs.  And to keep Spence, I think there is a deal to be done there.  There's the 'unwanted' player (Lowe), the sent out on loan because he wasn't wanted player (Spence) and a club in dire need of funds (Buch'.)

Three deals to be navigated.

I think £1million would realistically get you any of these 3 full backs in todays market
Come on you mighty Reds
