Our Goalkeepers
Think Gunn is a Championship level keeper.

John, no idea at this level. Did OK with Botafogo but before he joined them he had barely played any first team football and he’s 29 years old already.

A good solid international goalkeeper not on the bench for a keeper no one has seen play.

Are you talking about John?

There were 1,500 of us at Swansea that saw him play.

This is my gut feeling too.

A similar situation emerged some time back when people were saying give Hennessy a go.

Regardless, its the backup keeper position, who cares. Sels wom golden glove last year, even if that was an overachievement and he regresses back closer to the rest of his career he's still going to have a much better CV than John or Gunn so not sure why it matters which backup keeper is on the bench.

Anyway, Vlach is also an international level keeper and so is Darlow so not sure why that is at all relevant. I'm sure he was aware he was going to be 3rd choice when we signed him as Percy said it in the media.

Gunn was a free agent and nobody wanted him.

He came here knowing he would be number 3 and to pick up easy money until someone shows interest in him.

Not sure what the problem is.

He is better off being a number 3 here and picking up a wage than being without a club.

Because that is what he was, without a club and on the scrapheap.

Hes said himself in a interview he got told he was coming to be no 2, and he would get cup games. Thats why he wants to leave in January because he was lied too

He was a free agent on the scrapheap and without a club.

He is now getting a wage, he should be grateful.

You've got to question every half decent keeper who goes to a club to be a no3. I guess clubs like ours have to take these players, pay them a healthy wage and allow them to move on after a year or two when they get frustrated.

Yes every man and his dog knew that we were signing 2 keepers and as soon as John walked through the door every man and his dog also knew that Gunn was number 3.

He's probably had his dad in his ear advising him to take a pay day with us for a year or two. I think the son's of pro's who've been in the game always look at the money side of things first and foremost. Angus Gunn's career was cut short by an injury incurred in a Norwich game against us.

It's no coincidence that Scotland have a good chance of qualifying for the World Cup so now he wants to be playing and first choice all of a sudden.
