Problem is that at the moment a new manager is the only thing we can change. I feel sorry for hughton in that he has been seriously let down on recruitment but we can't do anything about that now.
This is the squad until january and at the moment there has been zero progress on the pitch this season
Is anyone suggesting that we stick with hughton until the next window?
At this moment, something needs to change and the only thing that can be realistically is the manager.
Whether that will work - who knows. But another 15-16 games of this and we will be all but relegated by christmas regardless of how many point deductions derby get.
The manager has to go. That doesn't mean those in charge of the club get a pass - there needs to be serious reflection before january (and certainly before next summer regardless of the league we are in). For now Hughton is the scapegoat but i don't think he is blameless in this either - he has not improved this side at all over the last year.

No strikers, centre midfield was awful, centre back at RB, untouchable worrall at fault for first goal. Brennan looked good and Lowe has looked alright but otherwise this has been yet another crap performance.
I can't see how a new manager can get a different tune out of these same players. For everyone that's so desperate to see a change in manager, I think you're asking for the wrong thing.
Disagree. This manager is getting the absolute worst out of this group of players, destroyed the confidence, instilled fear and negativity, it's been evident all night and it's been evident all season. They need someone to build them back up. Might not be the best squad we've ever had but it's far from the worst.
Hughton doesn't deserve any more chances, he didn't deserve any more weeks ago. Absolutely pathetic.
OK so the players don't have minds of their own do they? The manager is controlling them with a controller?
Yeah you're right let's let these poor innocent players off Scott free because big bad Mr hughton has been mean to them. They've got a tough life, tough job so they're exempt from criticism. Let's just blame the bloke that stands on the side and watches and claps his hands every now and again.
This isn't a defence of Hughton btw, just a criticism of how bad this team.
So sorry what has this team shown that makes you think they're better than this?
Of course they have their own minds and I'm not letting them off at all, I didn't say we should be flying did I?
I personally don't believe the team is relegation standard that's just based on watching football and I also believe we need someone to get a bit of confidence back into these players and quickly. What I do know is the manager is very, very lucky he still has a job, those before him haven't been anywhere near as lucky or as poor.
I just get sick of the players getting away without criticism and it's all directed towards the manager who in reality doesn't have that much influence
The fact that those before him were sacked prematurely does not mean this should apply to this manager. I don't believe he can turn this around but I don't believe anyone can turn this around because this team isn't close to being good enough.
Well as I say I disagree, I think it'll be tough but I think the right manager gets a tune out of this lot. There's some good young players, let them play unshackled, let them gain confidence, let Worrall and McKenna lead, we can turn this round but for me it's crucial Dane gets his man, the right man to lead his vision.

Doesn’t say wether he left or got sacked
Probably 'mutal consent.'
You have fans screaming at the manager and the board. It's not pretty.

It's the kind of performance that gets managers the sack. Not many managers survive this kind of run or such a lifeless performance.
Forest are on 'red alert.' We've been here before. A few times.
It starts at the top.
And Forest are leaking.
It has that kind of 'feel.'

If CH has gone we need to ensure that the new man makes Worrall or McKenna captain as Grabban offers nothing in terms of leadership on the pitch!

Grabban is old.
He's done. Not his fault. He gave us 20 and burned his Swan Song on us.
Stick a fork in him. He's cooked.
We all get older.
Warburton was pilloried for Murphy (who was deemed old at 31.)

SA. Certainly feels like that 'we're serious about promotion season - was it kinnear and then megson. That season had a kind of slow death feel to it just like this does.
Point is, they have got to get the next appointment right - fail and its curtains

Chris's coaching is nothing short of woeful.
No runs, no pass and move no triangles the basics just aren't there.
He maybe isn't all to blame but the coaching itself and the way we play just isn't good enough.

I remember it well, mate.
I was playing pool with a mate in York. We had a pint or two.
And I think Taylor headed a goal in vs Rotherham or summation.
Dark times.
But I enjoyed the pool and the pint with my mate.

out of 50 ish Hughton performances i'd say this was one of our better games, CH actually changed things a bit and made 3 substitutions including taking Garner off and putting offensive players on. Though it has taken him far too long and the Taylor/Grabban thing doesn't really work. Grabban did have an absolute sitter which somehow went over the bar from 2 yards. He did actually link up very well with Silva at least once, the flick which Silva ran on to.
It looked like a foul for the 1st boro goal.
I've wanted Hughton out at the end of last season but contrary to alot of heat of the moment stuff, i think players gave it everything tonight and were trying to keep the guy in a job though most of the time primitive long balls or the nervy playing out from the back, the latter needs some work.
However bad it was and is, i'd never boo or leave a game early, if it was his last game and 10 games too many, he deserves respect and i am sure he gave it absolutely everything, it may even turn out we become much much worse from now on who knows.
I think he should of been applauded off, assuming that was the end of course. Applaud the guy anyway.
I got to say, Chris Hughton could of been 5 nil down but he still carries himself with dignity.
Warnock and his chumps look like a total bunch of pr1cks on the touchline, they really shouldn't be allowed anywhere near sports gear with logo's, those bafoons will all be out of work soon.
If nothing else CH won the touchline etiquette stakes week in week out.

Only Lolley came over to a block last night. Players should have applauded the fans - 24,000 odd fans for that on a Wednesday night. CH has never acknowledged or thanked the fans. The connection was never established.
CH did not change any formation last night either. He just changed the players to go and stand in the rigid system he uses.
