Whether he is prepared to do that is a big factor. He did but there was also an interview from him where he said he was playing wide to help the team but he didn’t particularly enjoy it and didn’t see it as his long term position.

Doubt he’s going to replace Bellingham, Palmer,Foden anytime soon centrally.

I tend to agree, its if Morgan is willing to do that role though.

MGW needs to forget about England. He's not going to feature under Tuchel. Tuchel just doesn't rate him.

I know he had a contract extension but given form at the tournament of the team, and if we went out miserably against Mexico. I couldn't see Tuchel being manager for the Euros

Got to remember he is a slow start manager and will need us to show a lot of patience while he works on his team. Going to be interesting to see if he can bring his high press to a team build for low block and counterattack. Do feel this year will be more of transition than pushing for European football. A lot of work needed by players and by the transfer team to get the balance right for progression that is for sure.
Just got to.waot for the official announcement first and see what happens from there. Would put us in a silly position if it didn't happen now tho.

Seems like it's just a case of waiting for the announcement now. Being widely reported that he's agreed to take the job.

Opinions change, I reckon he will be in the first squad after the World Cup (Unless we win it perhaps). Eze and Rogers have offered little when they have come on in this tournament and out wide players haven't really offered much either. If MGW is playing wide going forward and starts well I can't see why you wouldn't bring him in. I think Tuchel did mention briefly in one of the pre tournament interviews that he had been considered as an option on the left. Gordon unlikely to get loads of minutes at Barca barring injuries and who knows where Rashford ends up on his playing time, I reckon that's the spot he can contribute in. Honestly think it's probably his best position, I remember that first half vs Betis where he just dominated in a 433 out wide.

Palace fan in peace. Have posted on here before.
I think most Palace fans, me included wouldn't have expected Glasner to turn up at Forest (and no disrespect intended by that comment). He will always be a legend at Palace and it'll be interesting to see how he gets on at Forest. I imagine, alongside a hefty pay rise, he will have an assurance that he'll be given the Anderson money to reinvest. You will be in for an interesting ride with Glasner but be prepared for big highs and lows. If the players you have can adapt to his system, and why not, then you will see some fantastic counter-attacking football and pressing. The weaknesses? Not much of a plan B in terms of changing formation and our ability to get past a low block, mainly in the Conference League, was painful to watch. We also has a couple of very long barren winless runs under Glasner and whilst he was given the time at Palace I don't think that your owner will be quite as patient if that pattern repeats at Forest. And you have quite the potential for explosive fall out if it goes wrong. Glasner has form at Palace and the German teams he managed for publicly criticising owners. Again I am not sure the very mild mannered Mr Marinakis would tolerate that. Interesting times. |
