Man Utd, Chelsea and Newcastle are also very close to FFP. Can see a shitstorm coming - however, Everton’s points deduction came after several warnings over previous breaches. We may get a small deduction or suspended with agreed limits on future spend. Wolves had a similar issue and have been on an agreed financial plan.

No….
Randall isn’t the accountant
Yeah was nothing to do with any part of running the club, he was non exc. They just wheeled him out to talk to supporters

I feel like with us if we breach it is for going over 61m everyone else is over 105
So surely we would get a lesser punishment like your saying

Just a thought, when Everton got docked their 10pts, Forest were one of the 4 clubs considering lodging a claim for financial compensation from Everton.
If Forest were thinking we could possibly have done similar you would think we wouldn’t want to go down that line. Should we be found guilty of course I think sympathy from others would be in extremely short supply.

So they need to put at least 10 points between themselves and relegation then.

I was just thinking something similar
Everton were given a plan to rectify things but they still carried on and it was reported that was why they got the deduction.
We MAY have been in temporary breach but have balanced the books within weeks of the accounts end date by selling Brennan. That doesn’t sound like grounds for a deduction based on the Everton precedent or the PL’s assertion that it tries to work with teams rather than policing them.
I’m also interested to know how the PL would balance any ‘heavy-handedness’ against us when Manchester City have been laughing at them for a decade.

It’s changes for this Financial Year though doesn’t it?

For the longer term credibility of the game you would think that weeks won’t matter.
It could be counter argued that we had an offer the previous Summer (ie within the same accounting period) but held on to him, which would have also brought us in line for that period.

It seems to me that the only time anything is written about the club in the mainstream media like the BBC and Sky is when it's going shite for us and this so called news that's being spoken about now in my eyes hasn't been reported by any of them. So could it possibly be that certain reporters just want to try and cause ballcrap for us. It has always been the case they hate us winning so will report any shite to disrupt that winning streak.

The scattergun approach to transfers was always going to catch up with us at some point. If it turns out we are in breach somebody or group of people have seriously messed up.
