Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager

To be fair he has bored the life and soul out of me for 12 months now. Imagine being a footballer playing under him. I'd find that even tougher.

Maybe someone should point out to him that Holt bored the living daylights out of me when he played for us. He couldn't trap a bag of cement. Him playing in a Forest shirt was the epitome of how low we'd sunk in those 3rd division days.

That's harsh on Eugene Dadi mate :) . To be fair I'm sure he said the same about calderwood playing him on the left wing. How many did he score after leaving us? What level did he play at for interest? A level higher than we have been for some time.

No wonder Hughton and Calderwood were a management duo for some time.

My peak moment as a Forest fan is Cheltenham going 2-1 against Doncaster to secure our promotion from League 1  :huh:

Other big moments include:

- Avoiding relegation by winning on last day.
- Going top under Sabri and Psycho briefly.
- West Brom away under Billy.

Slim pickings though, we've not even had any cup runs really. Got to FA Cup 5th Round under Billy and he played a reserve team and we lost to Sheff U I believe when they were in league 1. Would've played Sheff Wed in QF too (might've been other way round).

Forgive me for de-railing the thread but I can also vividly remember when we got beaten at home by Newcastle in the first division. Newcastle had that Brazilian guy (whose name escapes me) playing for them. I think we maybe lost 0-2. Anyway, I can remember sitting there in shock at witnessing a Forest defeat. We didn't lose home games in those days and I didn't attend many away games so the experience of a defeat was pretty traumatic to me. How times have changed.

That old joke about wife's coming and going but your club is in your very being is so true and I often remind my wife of it at moments like last night when she questions why I bother investing emotionally in a shit football team.

Likewise my Dad is a big fan and forced me to follow them to. We weren't even based in Nottingham either, was about half hour from Cambridge and there is just no-one decent around there. My two brothers switched to Liverpool and Arsenal but I stayed true! Good excuse to hang out with my Dad really.
