A head coach is there to coach though. He is not there to oversee all those things listed above regarding Edu's job. But I see where you are coming from SM. Imagine if Clough or Ferguson weren't given time which proves your point.

He's done a lot of damage in 5 minutes.

He really hasn't.
He has tried to repair damage done by Nuno but he probably underestimated the task. Give the guy a break he doesn't deserve it.

Can’t help but think Nuno really screwed us- stemming from the confrontation on the pitch. Signed a new 3 year deal- then had a preseason which left players unfit - started to demand his own signings and fell out with Edu - without due cause so just played the game of calling out the bosses. Much like maresca did. Uncle jorge has a lot to answer for too!!!

Please list the "He's done a lot of damage in 5 minutes."
We have a recruitment director and team, too, by the way. All see with Pedro Ferreira and George Syrianos is giving it the big one near the tunnel when we win. Think that would be unfair on them to say all they do all day is kiss footballers' backsides. And what about: Michael Dugher (Mr Brown Nose) Jonny Owen Simon Forster Are they to blame? And unlike Edu, they are directors of the club.

If EM get rid of Dyvche I think he should become Head of football operations, head coach and sign himself as the new CF that we are crying out for! Gets himself a 1st half perfect hatrick (both feet and head) in his first match slides towards the corner flag and is engulfed by all the players and support staff, the rest they say is club history and folklore !!!

As stated above “Edu will oversee all football-related functions, including recruitment, performance, squad strategy, and player development.“ None of those other names have this role. I agree with Sniffer it takes time to do this stuff but for example a clear vision of squad strategy should be in place by now and its far from obvious.

There is not one signing paper I thought was bad- football isn’t played on paper! Still think some of these players will go on to good things- seen enough of that in the past when they start they look shite and end up being stalwarts- Ben Watson, Lewis grabbed, David Johnson, Sangare, wood… players take time to settle!
