You could also argue that EM gave Cooper too much time. I think this ticking time bomb assertion is lazy. He also gave Lamouchi the start of the season after a monumental f**k up and Hughton more time than most of the fans wanted.
Football is also different to a job you would have been offered. If they get sacked they'd get millions in a payout.
EM fell out with Karanka, ONeill, Cooper and now Nuno. Lamouchi was a stooge. Hughton was a dreadful appointment to begin with.
It takes two to have an argument but whichever way you spin it EM is a very difficult bloke to have as your boss.

EM is undoubtedly the best owner we have had at Forest in terms of the way he has backed us financially and his desire to win at all costs cannot be doubted. He is right now on the crest of a wave in fan opinion, taken us to Europe, got us into a better competition than we deserved, fought off sales of our star player and has invested hundreds of millions
We know he is ruthless and that leads to some collateral damage along the way. Cooper was one, I've heard a few things about their relationship at the end and it wasn’t great to say the least. However I think we can all agree that change was inevitable and Nuno has taken us further than Cooper ever would have done.
Now is Nuno in the same position? Can we do better still? This is where I have my doubts. Who are we going to get? Jose, Marco Silva, Ange. Are any better? It certainly doesn’t make for continuity. The problem is that EM’s behaviour is widely known and a winner or not its clear he isn’t the easiest bloke in the world to work for. Therefore the pool of managers who are going to put up with him is diminishing rapidly. People mention Glasner, I don’t think he would last 3 months here and I doubt he would come and risk his reputation no matter how frustrated he is at Palace. Would Silva leave Fulham? Maybe and we know EM likes him but if he wants a safe job he will stay put.
Ultimately do you want to go and work somewhere when you know your boss is at best difficult to please and at worst a ticking time bomb? I have myself turned down jobs when I could have earned more money simply because it was known the boss was a d**k. Im sure football is no different.
Which leaves us with Ange and a squad used to a style of play totally the opposite to his. Goodness knows what the players think especially those who have just joined. Before you say it no I don’t want EM out, reread my first paragraph. It just seems we can’t be free of controversy at this club even when everything seems to be going well and Im fed up with it. Fully agree with you, except that if EM got Nuno the sack I think that would be very hard to forgive for me. We are in a fabulous position with Nuno and EM needs to do what is best for the club and put his emotions aside.
Nuno also needs to do what's best for the club, surely? Like not fan the flames in press conferences before games.
Agree with you that Nuno’s behaviour isn’t ideal. Part of me worries that Nuno is almost going for the sack just after his new bumper contract, considering the tensions between him and EM. There was a similar situation when he left Wolves. Yet I think that Nuno going public about his issues with ownership, recruitment etc all stems from Marinakis’ poorly controlled temper and other issues, as seen against Leicester… I imagine it is very difficult to work under EM and that is why my most of my anger would be directed towards him. Unpopular opinion on this forum, I know

Apart from the Karanka one which was odd it's hard to say that any of the other sackings weren't justified though. The timing of O'Neill wasn't great but Lamouchi did a brilliant job that first season (apart from the last few matches). Warburton, Hughton and Cooper - I'd say the time was right for all of them to go and has been mentioned before Cooper was probably a bit lucky to survive as long as he did.
I don't feel the same with this situation though - it would be an awful time to get rid and I can't imagine it'd have a positive impact on results.

Karanka, O Neil and Cooper have all fell out with other owners/players. It's not me trying to spin anything.
I can imagine it is difficult as he demands the absolute most out of everyone that works for him.

That’s exactly where Im at.
For what its worth I was fuming after the Leicester game, it was diabolical game management, every bit as bad as Hughton’s 1-4 implosion vs Stoke. Im sure I said some things as equally unkind as EM said that day. But that just isn’t how an owner should behave.

Im not on about whether the sackings were justified. Its the serial falling outs that concern me. Obviously its not just managers he falls out with too.
His financial backing is unquestionable. His passion and will to win is commendable. Its just that volatility.

DT’s article yesterday very much portrayed EM as caught in the middle of 2 blokes arguing and the agendas of their respective agents.
But one comment slipped under the radar.
“Behind the scenes at Forest, there is often conflict at the highest level. Some of the people who have been prominently involved since Marinakis’ takeover in 2017 positively encourage it.”
I wonder who that would be, your honour?

As if the bloke who wrote the artcile doesn't encourage it.

Conflict can be good - people need to be honest - it’s just not done in public. Nuno has made his position untenable and I can’t fathom why…

I’m sure Marinakis will sort everything out for the best.
The fact this is happening in public is unacceptable - and that’s not Marinakis. (Did the story in Italy come from the Edu camp? Looks like it to me, but also maybe not. Either way, Nuno’s behaviour in the press is wrong.)
I have full faith in Marinakis to sort this. My only caveat is if we end up with Ange, it’ll be an absolute disaster.

And I’m pretty sure was calling the Luiz deal.
