It does seem like both Chelsea and Tottenham have a list of premier league players pinned to the wall and are simply throwing darts at it whilst blindfolded. Theres some OK business on paper, whether either have actually improved their squads Im less convinced.

We may laugh about these Chelsea players linked but actually could be genius! Alonzo must have noticed they have no leadership in the team, no-one to guide the younger players and dig in when it's tough. A team of spoilt overpriced individuals. So best way to change that is get players that have respect and experience, who might not play all the time but have high standards. My bet is that he wants the professionalism to rub off on them over a two year period. Those who don't change will be gone but a culture of a team will be his first task.

The Supercomputer has done it's usual lack of respect predictions for 2026/7 and has us down as finishing 16th - only above Sunderland and the 3 promoted teams. They really do chat some guff! How can any predictions be made before the window shuts? I may have garybaldi-tinted glasses on but I see no reason why we can't be competing for 10th-12th at least.
