He's a good fit for Forest.  He knows what he's doing.

Sounds like "a cockney gangster olanning a bank job," was one comment.

Tactically astute I'd say and the recent run shows this.  Even the misfiring run before that the games were very close.  Forest tend to stay in games.  Playing more compact.  He's aware of the opposition and how to set up to nullify that.

With an imbalanced squad he's inherited he just needs to rebalance that with players that can unlock an opposing teams back line.

You can see why from the video, why he wants to keep knockheart.  And perhaps why he take another couple from that Brighton side if they could do a short term job for him.  Eg Murray.

He's managed 3 times in the Premiership and wants to manage at that level.  He's got teams promoted and kept them there.  You don't beat Man Utd by accident.

there were many positive comments and even undying love for Chris Hughton

the positive run is gaining momentum now

i do wonder to what extent we have seen a classic Chris Hughton win, those buzzy anything is possible type days like when Sabri's side hit top gear.  The counters haven't really started happening yet, also goals through the middle and i would of thought this is where Chris was expecting the larger goals haul to come from.

This is also without making any of his own signings apart from Knockaert who he's not using every week anyway.

He was never a doubt in my mind.

When you consider the circumstances behind his appointment, the criticism he has received from some quarters has been ludicrous.

He has gone about restoring stability and discipline in the side, in a dignified manner, and without resorting to complaining about the spate of key injuries - Grabban, Freeman, Worrall, McKenna and Colback

Hopefully this seasons experience will not be lost on some of the players and they will use it in a positive manner when Hughton gets us challenging again

If I was a betting man Gari then I would say yes. However impossible is nothing. I once saw Greece win Euro 2004!
