Stevie Cooper
Be careful what you wish for. Cooper is an excellent manager. I for one hope he stays and gets the time he has earned. The squad has no forward options and I’m not sure that is his fault.

I'm not advocating for Cooper to go but he is responsible for the squad including strikers and getting the best out of them. It seems we are on a downward tratectory.

It’s not a wish, it’s a sad reality.

Wood is coming in for a lot of stick but Cooper knows, or should know, his strengths.

Lesser managers have got a better tune out of him.

It’s an undesputible fact.

Wood is on the wane. Has been for 3 years. I actually think there is lots more to sort other than just wood. Back 4 or back 5, more progressive full backs- wide players starting more narrow - in to out- better pressing - higher line defending- loads! I have a feeling all is not well - Worrall, McKenna have been bombed.

Maybe if the support hit the levels of last season it’d help.

Feels like we expect to win at home now. Last year we were behind every kick, tackle, and save. The players all said that we, the supporters in the ground, helped spur them on.

We’re not doing that any more. Yes, players of this calibre on that much wad should be doing better. Yes, MGW should stop trying to be magic every single f*****g time. Yes Elanga should attack space. Yes Taiwo should be fit. Yes we should have had a penalty. But damn, these are troubles we dreamed of two years ago.

We need to back our team in the ground on the day in the way that earned plaudits across Europe. We all need to be away fans at home. Cooper has utterly transformed this club and I want him and everything we’ve become about these last couple of years to stay.

We all want Cooper to turn it around, but it’s too late now imo, We have won 1 in 10 that is relegation form, With the Squad at his disposal we should be churning out better performances and better results, I reckon Marinakis will be on the Phone to Managers as we speak

Great. Let’s see how the next one does with our ‘famous atmosphere’ with the PL having lost its novelty by season two. Maybe we just get what we deserve.

Valid comments TwoStar. However this is a two-way thing - fans need the team to lift them, the team need the fans to lift them. Neither is guaranteed. My season ticket is in the LB and there is definitely not the same buzz as there has been for the last 2 years. It does seem not all is right with the team. There was no acknowledgement of the crowd from cornerp takers yesterday and has been 2 way for the last 2 seasons. We have picked up 13 points from the first third of this season and, if replicated for the remainder of the season we will be close to, if not better, tham last season. Predictions are 32 points and below for relegation. Would this be an improvement, yes it would in terms of gap to those going down but not enough for SC to keep his job.

Interesting to wake up this morning and read some comments from people who were at the ground. Things have to change quicky or else we're in big trouble. I hope Cooper can achieve that but to be honest I'm doubting if he can. Its wrong all over the pitch. The team is playing with no idea and no drive. If its similar on Wednesday then its curtains I suspect.

Our squad I’d not a top 10 squad, yes a lot of money has been spent but half the team seems to be made of biscuits. We can’t rely on Tiawo, we’ve got the AFCON coming up, our main striker is CW who for all his efforts is obviously not the answer.
That’s not playing down the squad, it’s just being pragmatic.
SC has got one of the hardest jobs, a fickle fan base who either want to back him or sack him depending which way the wind blows. Last year we stayed up because we all worked as a team, the players, the hierarchy and the fans. We need to keep backing him as vocally as we can, it’s proved over the last 2 seasons what that can achieve.
We will get the top 10 finish, not this season though and only if we stop sniping at the manager and back him as he deserves. SC will be the manager of a team in Europe in the next few years, I’m just praying we have the guts to back him so it can be us.

You will be driving around in an old clapped out Lada soon Redgirl the way things are going.

Are you comparing Lopetigo to a Lada?  Doesn’t bode well

Ah well, maybe these two years have just been a dream. I’ve loved it

I have loved it too, I am sure that we all have.

However what is done is done and whether we like it or not it's all about the here and now.

Also there is no guarantee that Lopetegui will take over, plenty of irons in the fire.
