If recruitment had given him more than a load of pub league players to work with we'd have been fine.
Are you not aware that Lamouchi is part of the recruitment team?
That is not a criticism by the way. I reckon Sabri is the best thing that has happened to this football club for a long time. Long may it continue.

SA.
A smokescreen. Besides that's only 2 players, not 5. We missed Ribeiro, Cash and (yes really) Ameobi too.
Big call that Zico, calling the manager a liar?
Surely if they weren't carrying knocks and he wanted to rest them he would have had them on the bench?
I think we all know that most Championship footballers are rarely 100% fully fit once we hit the guts of the season. (Look at Lolley for first couple of months this season). I don't doubt that many of our players who played on Saturday have little niggles and maybe some are having pain killing injections to get by. So technically Sabri wasn't lieing. Do I believe 3 of our lads had niggles - yes. Do I believe that they were injured enough not to be able to at least make the bench? - no.So a smokescreen. Am I over it now? More or less, but I will know for sure at 2.30 on Saturday
If I am travelling back with 3 defeats in 4, then I will be pi$$ed off all over again. If we draw or even win I will have got over it completely....
I am over it, but the "injured" players did make the recovery some of us fully expected.

Sabri needs to be retained. His record is brilliant and yes he has made some mistakes in team selections but that is due to squad not being good enough. I reckon if we hold on to him he- together with our recruitment team will get us a tight squad with more in full from the academy rather than loans. If we don’t go up it may be a nettle to keep cash, lolley and Worrall and maybe even Samba but I’m sure we will be in a good position to replace with quality. I’m excited by Johnson and mighten too - Johnson has a bit of dele Ali about him and I’d wish he’d be on the bench more often - same with mighten - but in the midst of a promotion battle I understand it to some extent.

We are assuming ( hoping ) of course that Sabri wants to stay beyond this season.

I have a nagging doubt about that. Hope I am wrong. Would love him to stay.

Sabri:
“From the beginning I was so surprised by the warm welcome from the fans. And every day, every week, every month, I am feeling at home here.
“My desire is to stay here for a long time. I can’t say more than that.
“I have this responsibility, but for me to focus on the right things is very important.
“If I think only about my contract, it is a big mistake.
“My contract is not so important. Myself, I am not so important.
“But what we want to realise, all together, is so important because we will keep that for the rest of our lives.
“My contract is only for me. But to realise this (promotion) all together, now, it is totally different - especially here, at this club, an amazing club with fantastic fans.
“They have been waiting for a long, long time.
“Me, club, players, fans, we need to stay all together and focus on the 13 games - and the next one is QPR.
“We just want to focus on the next three points, to stay in the race and increase the belief.”

Well, Sabri has managed he first bit, which is to stay for the full season, an achievement in it's self with our record of managers. I hope that he stays on much longer because he is doing a great job and his win %age is amazing to say it is his first season in not just British football, but the Championship, which is the hardest league to start in.

I have been waiting to hear him say that. Music to my ears.
