Forest looking  to appoint Filippo Giraldi (ex-Watford) as new sporting director

I think he would be a good appointment Widdow.

He was at Watford for a long time I think about 7 years of which 5 or 6 were in the PL. In other words Watford stayed in the PL all that time under his guidance and then went down after he left.

Sounds like it's Dane out, and Charnely up to ceo. And the recruitment model out in favour of a sporting director looking at players. At least there'll be someone in the club that knows the prem.

Let's just hope this vote of confidence in Cooper gives him and the entire club a shot in the arm. After all my criticisms this afternoon on here, my preferred outcome is that Cooper gets the team playing and stays on for a good many years.

Anyone else find it interesting that David Johnson in his tweet mentions and praises both Milto and Evangelos but there was no mention of Dane anywhere. Just saying.

For God sake. Is their really any need for this?

Dane came in with a fanfare and soon after cooper was appointed - this was credited to him. He was also credited with the younger and more pacy squad dynamic. We went on to be bloody brilliant.

On the other hand…

Cooper has fell out with someone at the club since May. Some signings credited to Dane were not even considered by cooper- e.g laryea. Dane gets moved aside to do the stadium stuff from May and out of the way of signings. Johnson praises Marinakis for the contract not Dane.

Scapegoat or not all as cracked up to be.
