I've just attended. Plans hopefully (a word used a lot) go in before Christmas, then takes 18 weeks for planning permission to be approved, so (hopefully) Spring, and they would start work as soon as season finished.
I did forget to ask, what would happen if we are in play offs, but seem to recall the games are organised pretty quickly after the final match, so may lose a week or two.
Estimated 15 to 18 months to complete the main stand, work being done whilst season in progress. Not been decided where the temporary changing rooms will be. Probably the Brian Clough Stand, but could also be in the Trent end, where apparently there is a gym (I didn't know that)
The concourse will take up most of the current Car Park in front of the Peter Taylor stand, no plans for underground car park, so will be limited parking around the ground. Even the players will not be able to park there. They will have to park at the training ground and get a bus in from there.
In fact parking in Bridgford may struggle, and folk will rely on Public Transport (cannot understand why tram didn't go towards City Ground)
The main stand will have 4 levels and 3 tiers of seating. A lot of hospitality areas, and additional 10 boxes.
The plans do include two residential blocks, which are key to helping fund the work. Each block will have around 40 apartments.
Forgot to ask a few things like how many season tickets will be available next season, so if someone else is attending please ask.
Finally, looks like they have given up on the Bridgford stand, nothing included in the plans, and nothing going to be looked at till the new stand is in place and settled. Infrastructure and housing behind have been the red flags on that. Those plans would have meant an additional 3000 seats!
SO will not be the biggest stadium in the East Midlands - looking at 35,000 ( I am sure around 10/20 years ago or so our capacity was 36k) so biggest stadia angle will not be pushed anymore (kind of brushed under the carpet/grass) instead their now intent on building a World Class stand.
