Just think...that could be us.

And anybody who thinks that is not a possiblity even if it's a small one is kidding themselves.

Of course it is a possibility but if you don’t plan for succcess you pretty much guarantee you are not going to be succesful. And Sunderland are not currently filling there stadium but just watch sell out if they get back into the premier league. They already have the infastructure in place to benef.

They did have that stadium in the premier league. Never always a sell out and look where they ended up.

So the story of Sunderland justifies us not having ambitions to compete at the top end of the premier league knowing that in order to do that we need to vastly increase our income. Who is to say Sunderland don’t get promoted next season and we get relegated. In which case with new rules they would be much better equipped to thrive than we are even will be with a 35,000 capacity old stadium. Every outcome in life is possible and we could build a 50,000 stadium at Toton and get relegated but doing so improves our chances because of greater income. Sometimes it sounds like our owner is more ambitious than our supporters when for most clubs it is the other way around.
