The City Ground covers a small area in a residential location next to a river. Parking is difficult already and causes aggravation to residents. It is never going to be a big ground and unlikely to be easily converted for multi purpose use. It’s income generating potential is limited. The rules for football expenditure are changing to 80% income. It’s simple that if we stay at the City Ground we will not be able to compete with teams who have larger multi purpose stadiums. Whilst we have an owner who is ambitious for us to be more than just also fans i am keen to support that ambition.
