I’ll bare my arse in Jessops window if the be all and end all isn’t to get the freehold.
They need that to develop the apartments/hotels needed for commercial revenue plus a 40k stadium.
If they can’t get it, then they move elsewhere and get the freehold to develop a 50k plus stadium plus the hotels etc plus the training ground (which in turn releases the current training ground for development and more revenue).
Take your pick. We need one of those options to grow.
Well well well….
Forest have been offered the freehold.
There’s a surprise
It doesn't sound like this just happened today though, sounds like it's been an option for a while and we've not done anything.
Kind of suggests we are actively looking at moving doesn't it?
That said surely you buy the freehold now regardless then if you do move, you can take all the profit on redeveloping the existing area? Also, probably common knowledge, is it that we own the stadium but council owns the land?
