Call me old fashioned or accuse me of living in the past I don't care.
Why do we need a ground the size of Man City, Man United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool?
Lets be honest we are never going to win the league.
'My desire is always to be here, oh City Ground'.
If we all took that approach though Sniff we'd all still be living in drafty victorian houses with a open chimney and wind coming in through the gaps in the windows. Things move on in life, buildings have to adapt for modern life.
IMO we need a 45/50k stadium. If that can't be achieved on the current site then we have to at least consider moving. We may not have needed this kind of capacity in the past and we may not need it in the future but here and now we need that kind of capacity to satisfy the demand for tickets. And there's the issue of further revenue generation from commercial uses. The CG is and probably always will be limited in what can be achieved in that regard. Like it or not, we have to accept that premier league football is about much more than your working class bloke having a couple of beers and a pie and buying a ticket for next to nowt.
