Indeed…

We all love the City Ground but if a move means the chance of European glory in the future, better access infrastructure, better facilities and dare I say it- actually being able to get a ticket to watch a game- then it’s a no brainer.

Man City fans seem to have overcome their romantic notions about Maine Road.
Locally there’s no Filbert street or baseball ground anymore.

And before you know it, most fans won’t even remember the CG, icon or not. It’s progress and it’s necessary.

Most fans won’t even remember the City Ground? I’m hoping we’re not going to die off that quickly!

Was glad to see the other mentioned possibility, other than Toton, was the industrial area just north of Meadow Lane. As far as I’m aware that would be the best option. Close to where we are, by the river, a good amount of space. What do people think about that?

Though the article was blaming the council over that one too:
 “That idea has not progressed, however, because the land is permitted only for industrial use. The city council has indicated there is no scope for that to change. That, in turn, explains why Forest have been looking at the suburbs. At least four sites have been discussed, Toton in particular.”

lol yes, let’s hope there’s a few more years left in us all… my dream is to see Forest win the champions league and be at the actual game- I was 14/15 when we won the European cup so just a couple of years too young to follow the team abroad ( my cousin used to go and came back with many a horror story).

For that to have any chance of happening, we either need a new ground or a radical rule change. 

I agree that the site near meadow lane would be the best of current known options but I can’t see the council playing ball.
