But on the other hand, the new rules will ensure clubs are profitable since it restricts spending (on players, staff wages...) to 70% of revenue. So instead of only a few clubs being profitable, they all should be. And then if the pie grows, the profit grows. So good for owners as an investment if you're not too ambitious. Fantastic if you are an owner of one of the already-rich clubs with European income and a global fan base buying your merchandise.
But soul-destroying as fans of a competitive, national sport that we are all passionate about. Where you hope your club can better itself.
