I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a Forest team make so many as they have this season, my initial reactions when it first became noticeable was that I felt we were trying to take risks and be brave on the ball but it’s just plain sloppy.
The first three notable touches from Neco Williams today were two misplaced passed, one out of play and the other straight to the opposition, and a baffling set piece routine that he hit straight at the wall.
I don’t mean to single Neco out because it permeates through the whole team (barring Toffolo).
Can anyone explain why this is happening with such regularity?

I genuinely think the collective group are better than the league position suggests.
The amount of times over the years on this forum, people have believed the group are better than the league position suggests. I can count how many times with 1 finger of one hand how many times that turned out to be the case.
I agree with the Baddog, we've got some players with potential but right now there's too much inconsistent play and some just aren't that good.
It's funny you pick out Neco too as he's probably been our best player of late. Not sure exactly what that says about the rest of the team.
I did say that I wasn’t singling out Neco, I was using him as an example.
That said, we have detracted from the point I was making. The level of unforced errors isn’t down to the standard of the players, there is clearly something wrong with the mindset of the squad, it is almost lacking in professionalism.
I disagree, I think the fact that the level is broadly the same across two managers just shows this is the current level for this group.
There is potential to be better but I think the mistakes just come from a combination of younger player being inconsistent and more experienced players just not being that good.
