As for DT, this is irrelevant but I don’t think its a drop off in subscriptions as the Athletic have millions, but I do think its ego related. I like Taylor and thank him for shining a light on occasion but he is like most journos in that he can be bought off for an exclusive (see John Percy). But exclude any of them and they can quickly turn. Just they way they are wired and I think there are very few exceptions.
