OK so theres no pizzagate or ASDA training balls, but he has sold our talent and the club has steadily gone backwards in relation to the starting point in the league.
If he does sell, which I doubt, history will tell a story of a failed Greek ownership. Hardly a legacy, and that is why I believe he is made of sterner stuff.
Good question; on that basis, EM has to come in one place lower than Fawaz and one place higher than Doughty
So all the off the field stuff counts for nothing then? The clubs being unwilling to deal with us, the fact that we were headed towards administration without a sale as Fawaz ran out of money. The constant HMRC issues? The mass supporter protests? The academy upgrade?
As ever the wider context is ignored, in the last few years in particular the gap between teams with and without parachute payments has widened, largely due to those teams using them more effectively. Making any attempts to breach the top 6 more challenging in itself.
The club was 21st when EM took over after avoiding relegation on the last day. I recognise we are currently 24th however I'm not sure it's entirely fair to condemn this to be our final position and ignore the remaining 40 odd games. So if we finish 21st again we will at worst have stayed the same as the Fawaz time.
It was a vain attempt at sarcasm.
I completely agree with your first and last paragraphs though.
