It may be all about results for some people but others want to see more. The most alarming thing for me is that players have regressed under him, they've forgotten how to play with pace and penetration; it's all walking pace, sideways passes or a massive hoof to absolutely nobody. We're playing pedestrian football in a league than now demands frenetic energy from start to finish, we're being left behind at an alarming rate and with each week/game that passes it becomes harder to claw it back, not just the points but getting the football right to ensure we can compete with the teams who know how to do it properly in this division. That's why I don't think adding 4/5 more players will change as much as some seem to believe it will, it might delay the inevitable but it'll come at some point this season, just hope it isn't too late when it does.
Pace? When was the last time Forest had that. We have to go back to Tyson or Antonio. You have to go back to either a Davies or Psycho team for that. (Davies, 'We're walking when we should be running.'). And people weren't satisfied with that football either. ('Pearce this...that and t'uther ...)
Both a LONGGGGG time ago.
Pedestrian?!!!!! That's been Forest for the last 24 years. Lol.
Even I've stopped going on about how pedestrian Forest are. It was a staple of Aitor's build up play. Sabri's tedious (and predictable) snooze ball build up play. (And MoN was criticised for being agricultural...)
Pace. (hurts.). Goals. (hurts) Robust. Skill. Energy? Yes please. (It's ironic that Barnsley have been playing with more energy than Forest for years giving our old legs legion a hard time in most games.)
I can't remember when we last had all that. (And I bet it correlates with our recruitment. Which has sucked for the best part of 24 years.). It's been so long I've forgotten my name.
SA.
