I'd like us to adopt a reserve team or B team as they call them now, as well as our U23 team, so promising youngsters can be lifted above youth football & returning casualties, or out of form players needing minutes, can get this in adult football, rather than against 5 year olds.
Wouldn't make much difference to the here & now,but long term, if we ever reached this point again, we'd have a better understanding as to where some of our players stood in the scheme of things & some of our youngsters would get more minutes in adult football.
Someone like Mighten, for example, would benefit greatly, because he'd have played way more football this season under that set up, but not without removing him from the first team appearances he's had & needed.
