You wouldn't have been disappointed, it didn't last long but it was a great time to be a red.

Can’t think of Sammy without it evoking fond memories of the trip to Craven Cottage in 1967 for the final game of the season.
The groans on the terraces when the team was announced pre match with Sammy playing centre forward - and the delirium when he scored twice in a 3-2 win. Great days.

In those days all defenders were six foot plus and well built to kick the S**t out of the opposition, you could not pay football on the ground unless you were skilful like ISM
